"The purpose and intent of this book, as it has been assembled, is to present a focus of my work covering the past 60 years. Since I am still enjoying the fun of painting and creating, it becomes a WORK IN PROGRESS." — Gus Kermes, 2008

Constantine “Gus” Kermes was a Lancaster County treasure. His rich history as an artist includes years of painting on steamboats, en plein air in France and Greece, exhibiting in New York alongside some of the iconic artists of the 50’s and 60’s, and creating award winning designs for Ford/Sperry New Holland.

This book provides a unique perspective of his career and includes paintings, etchings, woodblock, stained glass and designs for farm machinery created during his years as an industrial designer for New Holland.
